Beatlemore Skidmania started with Thompson's Beatles Seminar in 2001. It was a particularly depressing fall. Students in his seminar asked if they could put on a concert of Beatles music. Thompson helped them book the hall and organize the event, recruit student bands and singing groups, as well as enter his own faculty band. They did did very little advertising, and yet the hall was full. The rest, as they say, is history.
